No other kind of relationship has the potential to make or break your future like your romantic relationships. Here are the questions I asked you:

0 Should you share your feelings with your significant other? All of your feelings? Even about the things that make you feel week? Is it okay to depend on one another emotionally or does that feel dangerous to you?

0 In a romantic relationship, do you want to take care of someone or be taken care of? Should it be a balance? How much do you expect to count on each other to get through the tough times?

0 How much time should a couple spend together? Doing what kind of things? How much time should you spend with friends who are not "couple friends?

0 Do you expect to have children someday? What do you expect from the mother or father of your children? What makes a good mother or father?

0 Should money be shared between the two of you or kept separately? Should you have a bank account together? Who manages the finances?

0 If your significant other has children by another person, what do you expect their role to be with the children? What about the other parent?

  • We should never share EVERYTHING but honesty is important.

We should not be totally dependent on the other.

Good parents pay attention, guide, teach, mold

their children by good example for after all,

your children emulate what they see YOU do.

Children by another father should be shown love as if

they were yours because they came from the one you love.

Their natural father should be allowed in their lives IF

    he is of upstanding character.

NEW children are siblings to the others. no more space..

  • @tomken8dy All of which are great answers, I like the way you think! Merry Chrismas buddy!!

  • here is what is a big thing too... what is considered 'spending time together' watching movies, or being in the same room... or sitting down, staring into each others eyes, talking directly to them?...

  • @FlamEffect That's an excellent point. Some time back, a band called Dashboard Confessional did a song called "Again I Go Unnoticed", which dives deeply into that. The opening line of the song is "So quiet, another wasted night, the television steals the conversation..." That said I see nothing wrong with watching movies together, Tanja and I do that quite a bit. But when you're just begging in front of the television not really paying attention night after night, then yeah something's wrong.
