In this video Rob describes a six step process that a lawyer can use to manage client expectations so that the client is clear about the level of service they will receive and does not perceive any "nasty surprises." The process is as follows:
1. Ask for their definition of success.
2. Anticipate problems.
3. Don't over promise.
4. Establish an estimated cost.
5. Put it in writing.
6. Communicate regularly.
