A film about how our own government is screwing us over when it comes to public services, specifically when it comes to health care. If they can find money for perpetual war, they can find (our) money for services for us. It also shows how nationalized medicine does NOT equate to socialism, and how the health of our nation would improve through nationalized medicine.

'Medicare doesn't cover all the costs for his drugs' but it sure as hell increases the costs for all those drugs! Don't 'improve' it, abolish it! And abolish the schemes that inflate their savings and induce them not to invest in their future! To have a heart is to laissez-faire, not to intervene and distort the market and limit or pervert people's scope of rational action!
Aside from strictly healthcare issues, I wonder if Moore realises that the poverty he displays is entrenched by government's economic presence and intervention?
I do not understand why Americans have to pay for their health. It should not cost money to get healed- it should be every person's right to have medication and any hospital services for no charge! This is our health- why must we pay money for good health? Everyone's health is priceless and should be taken care of when needed. It makes me happy to live in Canada where health care is free.
the facts are these, 1: fair tax would eliminate income tax prejudice where the poor pays for everything and the rich doesn't 2: the fair tax placed on essentials would reduce the deficit immediately by a huge chunk 3: if our gov stopped SS spending we could all have retirement at the age of 65 and have free healthcare so long as they make an effort to control the medical costs by making it illegal to make medicines and medical services outrageously priced. UK did it look it up.
since u put it that way what if ur injured or get cancer that means other people are paying for ur medical care but that also means the same for them it all equals out and besides the money u lose to taxes isnt as much as u would lose if u got injured or got cancer think about it
Healthy and well-educated people = A perfect society. America is the only western civilized country that doesn't have nationalized healthcare. But, you know.. They're about 300.000.000 people, so it's not that easy.
Hey somebody please tell me what the damn name of the music is after they show dumb ass George bush at the beginning of this movie. I cant find it anywhere!
Im happy to live in Europe! Taxes should contribute to the health care system, it is important to have healthy population for economy to boom. That is such a simple equation.
