I was just prescribed Keflex 750MG because I have Strep that Augmentin couldn't treat. Is this stronger than Augmentin?

It's not stronger, just a different type of antibiotic. Since the Augmentin didn't work, the doc it trying the next antibiotic down the line to kill the bacteria. Some antibiotics don't work against certain bacteria. Sometimes it's trial and error. That Keflex 750 is expensive though.

Oh god, they smell TERRIBLE! I opened the bottle to take a pill, I smelt it, and it was so GROSS!

I would think that if you have a rash from this drug, it would be wise to discontinue it or contact your physician.

yehh im on them now.. and they stink like cat piss pretty much!!! WORST SMELL EVER! I talk a lil bit about it in my "November Update" video. lol They are horrible! I'm on em 'cause I kinda stapled my hand with a heavy duty work stapler. the big huge ones. but it didn't go in SUPER deep though, thank god. Coulda been much much worse. butyeh. these pills are the worst i've ever had to take! and that's a lot of pills in 1 day. "Take 2* tablets four times a day for ten days." lol

with all of that being said. do you think it would be a good idea to discuss with him the possibility of trying Cephalexin 4 grams a day. do you think it could be successful where the others have failed ?

is keflex anything like ketek? I have some small pain in my lower back. Im worried. on it because I have white tonsils and ear infection... please help

yea because the bacteria an evolve nd get use to the antibiotic it can even kill it i dont think you are supost to take it for such long time but i think a DR knows best.

My Dr gave me this..500 mg. 4 times a day for a week. I opened the bottle and these things literally smell like something took a shit in the bottle. Its disgusting.

I started takeing it yesturday. I am on 500mg pills that are like orange and take 4times a day for a week and hopefully it works. They don't allways smell that good I know. Um, I feel a little strange for like few seconds-min when i take a dose but that's probably just in my head and not happening more just think I feel different nothing serius at all. 1st or 2nd dose I thought my stumich hurt a little put it past. It usally work's right?

I've been on this antibiotic since early December 08 and my surgeon says I may need to be on it for another 6 months. Is this an unusual amount of time to be on this antibiotic?
