(Languange: in Shantou/Chaozhou) Chaozhou Teochew Chiu-Chow - Porcelain Tradition (czcgtczd).
The Chaozhou prefecture is the porcelain capital of China with a tradition of porcelain making dating back to the neolithic age.
INTERESTING FACTS: As many as 80% of Bangkok Thailand's population and 30% of the Chinese Vietnamese come from the Shantou Chaozhou region. Of course we cannot forget the 30% of Chinese Singaporeans, 20% of Chinese Malaysians, 18% of Hong-Kongnese, and 10% of Macau-ese who also are of Chaozhou/Shantou ancestry.
The greatest comments I've gotten from viewers is that they can show these videos to their parents and grand-parents who are still fluent in the dialect, and they get a kick out of it. So share, show, and enjoy these videos with your family and friends alike. Continue to use your language and pay a visit to Shantou/Chaozhou, your ancestral homeland at least once (I suggest 3 times) in your lifetime. Best to all.

I went to Shantou twice and loved it! My forefather came from Shantou and still have relatives living there. Love hearing TeoChew widely spoken - music to my ears! I cannot speak TeoChew well but I love hearing it. Hope to go back many more times.

I really wish there is a show that will help us appreciate the polyglots of Chinese dialects in China, just like this show here. As a native of Zhejiang province (China) living in USA, I still have no chance of learning my ancestors' dialect and my parents won't let me learn Zhejiang dialect. I'm still struggling to find someone who can teach me Zhejiang dialect. Wish me luck.

If you look at the linguistic situation in Taiwan, it's getting much better as time passes by (even better than China (PRC)). Although Mandarin is still used in official broadcasts and announcements in Taiwan, there has been a resurgence in the use of Southern Min (Xiamen/Amoy), Hakka, and Northern Min (Fuzhou) dialects, which are now taught in schools. Those dialects are now easily heard in media as well.
