robotech was the show that helped break down the doors for many anime shows.....and i'm not taking anything from starblazers.....which i also enjoy but robotech is more believable.....heroes can die....and people can make fantastic sacrifices..i look forward to the next robotech movies

Transformers and GI Joe are making comebacks with live action movies. Final Fantasy games,anime are red hot now. Macross does not compare to them at all, search and you will tremble at their numbers.

Macross fans should worry about those other anime. You all prove that Robotech is no threat.

But Robotech has a right to exist by itself because of guys like and for guys like me. End of story.

Granted that Macross is more popular, that doen't make me like it more. Some of the stories are not my taste. Some are silly, singing, etc. JamesBond77 opened my eyes to Macross but I didn't like it any more.

Robotech has a more realistically military feel to it, I dig that because I'm in the Navy. What do you all kids know about military. I bet you all dream to handle an M-16 assault rifle.

I dig the hover tanks in Masters, the cyclones in New Generation are kick ass machines.

Robotech continues the stories into Masters, New Generation. Macross continues into Macross 2, Macross Plus, Macross , etc. If you can't follow those two different universes, then you lack intelligence.

Macross and Robotech are in the same family. Why worry? Wouldn't you be more concerned about Transformers, GI Joe and others that are thrashing Macross and Robotech. I would. Instead you bitch and moan about Robotech.
