  • david gemmell is one of my favourite authours...i have read nearly all of his books...sadly he passed away fairly recently the last books he wrote were the troy series.

  • I had never heard of him before I started looking around the web for help with this game. He did seem pretty popular as a writer.

  • I do recall at somepoint during the game you would enter a sword fight and need to use the cursor keys to fight. And if you win the fight the loser joins your army for the final battle part on the B-Side of the tape.

Or am I mixing this part of the game up with some other?

  • Not sure about that. Sounds interesting if that's the case.

  • Cheers m8. Great stuff, brings te memory's flooding back. This was first game I had bought for ZX Speccy, I used toi love the ol' adventure games. £15.00!!! it cost, imagine what that would be in todays money?

  • No bother mate! 15 quid was a lot back then. Just buying a £9.99 game broke the bank. I only did that occasionally if I knew I was going to enjoy a game.

  • i dont know what books you are into but i reckon you should give some of david gemmells books a try..they are are brilliant..a mix of fact, fiction and fantasy.

  • Tried to be clever and got her in a boat halfway across a river and she still managed to run away ???? and she scweemed and acweemed and scweemed.

  • Charlton Heston was ahead of his time.

Don't know that game. Maybe you should use the rope to tie her to the bed before she starts screaming. Sounds a bit like Bonnie Langford.

  • I was a bit of a mapper as well when it came to adventure games. I never had this game but I loved the Hobbit. I couldn't find any help on the web for this game though.

  • The Hobbit game got me into reading the book because I didn't have a clue about the game at the time without instructions.
