The likes of world stars such as Figo and Fabregas first came to the attention of the footballing public following their appearances in the Under 17 and Under 20 World Cup. We take a look at the effect of the youth cups in a wider context. Against the backdrop of the Milk Cup in Northern Ireland, we will look at the work of Jack Gallagher, who has been involved in the coaching and development of the game for more than 30 years. Who better to ask how the game has changed at grassroots level than someone who has helped to coach the coaches and set up many of today's initiatives that are now taken for granted. The Milk Cup sees club sides from all around the world converge on Coleraine. Past winners have included a Manchester United side including a very young David Beckham. We also talk to Luis Figo about his memories of playing in the U17 and U20 World Cups, and how he feels they benefitted his career.
cheers to that

The coach is an Irishman by the name of Jack Gallagher. Wasn't a coach of any big name sides, but was influential in youth development. A bit of an unsung hero by all accounts.
