Oh, oh, oh Sensible Software were just asking for trouble with this one. Regardless, since im the part of mankind that actualy has a sense of humour, I find both the game and this intro to be extremely fun and a great example of how to make videogames that were fun to play, something that seems to be missing from almost every game in the shelves right now (with some execptions, of course).

I know Sensi were hard at work on Cannon fodder 3, in full 3D, but the game is now in "Development Limbo", but who knows with so many opportunities being offered by Wii VC, XBLA and PSNetwork, Im hoppign to hear more from Cannon Fodder in the future.

Oh, and Jon Hare was right: War had never been so much fun, indeed.

  • i love how games were made back then. you can feel heart, passion and fun put into creation of these diamonds.

and to think of that it was just few people with ideas and will to realize them. that was art...

nowadays thousands of people can work on a single title, but with this large scale production, industry, enormous money, it has lost its spirit.

  • I miss my Amiga 500...

I wish I could be in the early 90s again...

    *cry*

  • @silsae ....I have all 1,530 roms for GBA , yet a few hundred of them people won't know since I have all the Japanese releases also. There is a list of close to 2,500 but they are the same game but different title for certain countries. I have been there and searched all over the net to find out what system has what games and which one has another name for. I have all Mame games, Snes, Megadrive, N64 etc... If your into these let me know I would be glad to send you any game you wish...

  • @silsae .... Now over 1 game is kinda stupid don't ya think. I will stick with my "Over" 3000 since there is apprx around 3500, you may find that there are over 5,000 games but don't forget there are games that are the same all over the world but have a different title name between the UK and Europe etc. If you want to stick to your "doubling that" then you can add up all your public domain games which would add up to well into the 7000+ mark.. As I have most Amiga roms, 3000-3500 is spot on.

  • although I was an atari man myself :D

  • @ZroDfects well technically you could say the Amiga has over 1 game and still be right.... just thought your number was a little low to do such a great gaming era justice!

  • @silsae .... uhmm that is why I said "over" 3000

  • @ZroDfects 3000 games? try doubling that. at least.

  • @lordpeter: Sorry, but when I think of games produced by Ocean Software or US Gold the last thing I can think of is heart, fun and passion.Don't get me wrong,I love the Amiga and I have very fond memories of that time, but just like every gaming platform it had great games, honest stuff and irredeemable pieces of junk.

  • @CarnivacGames ..... For its time it had the best possible graphics some better than others but there were some artists out there that did push the graphics to the limit like the games developed by Cinemaware etc, we are not talking digitized here .... Now I don't believe you loved the Amiga if you go on saying don't go nuts and shit, Amiga was awesome to me the best machine around, so I will go nuts because Amiga fuckin rocks... Don't like it as much as me well go fuck off with your Atari then.

  • @lordpeter

    True

  • @lordpeter ......Amiga was a better era too, there was none of this PS3 or XBOX360 is better rubbish. Amiga had over 3,000 games too and that is not even counting shareware and Public Domain stuff......

Amiga was the best computer around and it is sad to see it go.... Amiga was very poorly managed and that is why it went under, I wish a team that had a better understanding and buy them out but it was too late..... Amiga wasn't updated or replaced it just wasn't managed as it should be
