Dragon age 2: secret boss boss fight - Hybris - strategy HD(1/2)

This is me fighting the "secret" boss of dragon age 2 called Hybris (on nightmare ofcourse ^^).
Warning: Hybris is extremely hard XD.

Setup:
I used Myself as a tank
Varric for high damage output and for the archers lance which is highly effective at killing the adds.
Anders ofcourse for his overpowered healing/shielding/buffing skills.
And merryl for cone of cold high burst damage which is great against the adds.
Strategy: Loads of tactics :s
start the fight by making sure that your tank gets a lot of aggro, taunt is ofcourse great for this. Always try to keep your dpsers in one group during the encounter, it helps you controll the adds.
The boss will spawn adds during the fight, 2 standard shadows 2 times in a row and then a fire demon, these needs to be killed quickly and preferably trapped in his next ability that i will explain later. Adds will spawn about every 15 seconds, and during the fight about 16 shadows and 4 fire demons will spawn before he runs out of adds.
The main tactic of the fight is Hybris main ability, he summons a field of light on the group which will activate after around 5 seconds, stunning EVERYTHING which enters the field for briefly 10 seconds. You can use this to trap the adds and the boss by kiting them into the field of light, i keep my tank in the field quite some time to cc the boss making sure that he does not interfere with my dpsers killing the adds.
The Fire demon NEEDs to be kited into the field, its simply to hard to kill it before new adds spawn if its not stunned in the field.
When the boss runs out of adds its basicly tank and spank, just watch out for his charge (it does no damage anyways :P).

Ill fill out the tactics later since i feel that this does not feel complete :s

@Encoreyo22 you honestly think you were the first to destroy hybris on nightmare i know like 6 people that did the day it came out.  i did it on the second day

@hellblazer51 I only stated that it was the first youtube video of the kill. though i doubt that anyone played through the minimum of like 30 hours that it takes to clear the game on nightmare the first day (maybe on consoles: D)

Nightmare while pausing isn't hard it is really like playing on normal or casual because you can move your characters before every attack its just to easy to fight no Cham age what so ever but good job

lol u party is bad i have rogue (Tallent-Assasin)=skill(Assass­inate) DMG 21k whit singlel skill

Merill(Staff) Cold-Blodded) or (Freedom's Promise) Fire storm 1k evry 1 second (sebastian) whit Bow Long bow of the Avvars +14k to 30k and xD i cant play in Nightmare bcs whit single skill massive skill all party is going death

I also killed him on nightmare.. but the fight was more or less quite easy imo. No idea how you could last 25minutes for this ^^

Try to use barreers and dispell magic when someone is stuck in those fields of light, helped a lot here. If you wouldn't pause every 20 seconds the fight could have been over way faster, though. Please activate your tank-skills on your warrior, idk if you forgot about those or you just wanted to save some energy.. however thanks for the great vid, keep it up ^^

this boss was easy , i don't know but this game was more easy than the first although some battles were hard but I never paused the game like he did :D, killed him with my rogue anders aveline and merrill ( no one died)....i don't have problems with big boss fights but i did had some problems with small boss fights
