@1939PlymouthRatRod There will be a vintage fashion parade at WIntersun again this year, but at the Official Wintersun Port Macquarie event. I'm not aware of what's on the calendar for Cooly Rocks.

I saw this,was there again this year,i get ignored a lot,just wish people would come up and ask me what im about,i dont bite,Im a Teddyboy,Teddyboys were about in the 50`s before Rock`n`Roll arrived in England,the Teds took the music as their own and its been like it ever since,we also like our Rockabilly and Doo-Wop,im also on facebook,if anyone is interested...............

@TeddyboyNo1  I'm confused... are you saying that you wanted to come and talk to us and we ignored you, or just speaking generally about the crowd? You can bet your life that if I see someone dressed in an interesting style (no matter what that is), that if I have a chance to, I'll be the first to say hello. :)

Probably a bit of both really,a lot of the people i have talked to dont know what im about or the connection with Rockabilly/Rock`n`Roll,and there are very few people in Australia that know what Teddyboys are,im a bit of a curiosity,and its hard to explain to people who dont have a clue,as hard as i try to explain,i get called Elvis all the time,bit annoying,not being that much of an Elvis fan,I appreaciate your reply,its good to have some one who is interested,I am what i am.

Thanks Candice, i have added you to facebook,i find that at Wintersun and greazefest there are not many people my age that are into it in the way i am, 24/7,i have been a Teddyboy for 30 years now,its a way of life for me,some people dont understand that,unless they are other Teds,im an Ex-pat from England been here 8 years and have found it hard to get into a group my age,the young groups are too young for me,i have kids their age,also have 6 grandkids,it makes it difficult.

@spudsandtaters These particular ones are not for sale as they are part of a private museum collection. You can however, buy reproductions from all sorts of places. Try "What Katie Did", "Forluna" and "Esther Williams" to see some of my personal favourites.
