@clrtomsett Well the thing is, your basically put into private schools by your parents because they want whats best for you. My parents spent a lot on my secondary education, and to be honest I don't think I would be studying where I am right now if they didn't. It might be unfair to the rest of the people, but I would say its more of an example of how public education is failing. btw loads of people in my school drank and did drugs... excelent education teaches you weeds ok:) as are abortions!

@sophizzy3well my brothers both went to 2 atrocious state schools, both went to Oxford, one's a scholar. They didn't have tutors. Public and private schools are ridiculously unfair, firstly why on earth should you be able to buy a better education than someone else, i thought Queen Victoria was meant to have dealt with that problem over 100 years ago, secondly, you're not buying a better education, you're buying a class of people that are less likely to take drugs, drink get pregnant etc.

Tony Blair (Fettes) is responsible for the poor education system in Britain today not David Cameron.
When it came to educating their own children, the Blairs chose 2 of the best selective state schools in London and hired tutors for their children to get into the most prestigious universities. Oh the hypocrisy!

@locsman they showed a total of about 20 students... in england. your an idiot. obviously there are all races of people at eton as it is the best school in the world and people who can get in come from across the globe. note 'who can get in' i mean intelligence wise not because who his father is or how much money his family owns. the fact that you noticed there were no black people in the documentary shows you are wary of race and that you think it matters... suggesting you are a racist.

I am old-Etonian of Godolphin house, and I am in Greece now. I am student of Political Science. I know there is huge difference between private and common schools but here in Greece, things are even worse. Rubbish, bad manners, no classrooms, no teachers, no responsibilities.
