  • @johanisu Steve Jordan

  • Who's the drummer in this clip?

  • I like the way you think Sonny. I've been saying the same thing about piano players for years.

  • thats just horseshit...its just a different instrument, and creativity is contextual

  • sonny is not knocking the piano, just stating a simple fact! a piano player has so much harmony at their fingertips that soloing over it can be tough because there is not as much harmonic ambiguity (although the player could just play sparser, thought i guess what hes saying is thats hard to find)

  • True... Plus, one has to remember that it isn't only the 88 keys, but also the actual amount of inside STRINGS per key...

  • yeah try telling that to Herbie or Bill evans !!!

  • Finally...the truth be told.

Guitarists have to be more creative and have a better knowledge of how to best voice harmonic structures, Sonny is right on; yes indeed, 88 keys will always dominate and get in the way.

Nobody likes a harmonic traffic jam!

  • PIANO BASS AND DRUMS

heard it said guitar ofers too much spring and boyancy.

    what u tink?
