I just had to buy a new shower cap because my old one got a hole. I agree that they are not the most flattering look, but it does keep my hair dry.
Quick tip for if you are away - like in a hotel - and don't have a shower cap: Take a thin towel and wrap your hair in the towel. Keep your hair in the towel through the shower and you will keep your hair dry but be able to wash your neck.
