Alvertis Simmons Rally for Marvin Booker

A rally was held to protest recent incidents of police brutality in Denver, Aurora, and Arvada Colorado. Marvin Booker a 150 lb man was killed while in the custody of the Denver Sheriff. The rally was to demand release of the official videotape of the incident. The Denver Manager of Safety resigned shortly after Mr. Bookers death. Incidents of excessive force by Police are on the increase.Three police officers in Arvada Colorado resigned as Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office announced it is conducting a criminal investigation.
Also, Denver police officers were caught on video tackling and beating a 23-year-old man who was doing nothing but talking on a telephone. The mayor and city officials are deeply divided and concerned over the incident and debating the punishment for the police officer. George Hemminger of Survive and Thrive TV said in this case the individual was lucky the incident was caught on video, because when there are not cameras around it is hard to prove what actually takes place. Hemminger said it is a travesty that the officers have not been fired. So far they have only experienced a reduction in pay. In order to inspire change in policing practices the media needs to cover the issue of police brutality more and bring the issue to the public's attention, argued Hemminger.

Thats sad! a man with a badge dont give a fucc! they think they can treat people the way they want, they act like booker was going to kill somebody wdh! an innocent man ..all they had to do was put handcuffs on him and give him his property! -high fivin eachother and laughing?- yall serious so what do you find funny about killing somebody?!... how would you feel if somebody close to you was in the situation? put your feet in their shoes? i dont think the sleeper was called for ! at all.
