@cockywatchman1976 it is a bit of a catch 22. but do you really think things would be better with heroin legal? considering all the naive youths of the world today who are either looking to escape or copying drug abuse glamourized by media? it is all a madness
@cockywatchman1976 Yep, probably more than 99% still use on top. Their flop. But I can't ever picture a world with heroin legal and there would be many downfalls that I do not think we would forsee if ever it happened... and true say, ppl won't stop using, if they want it, they get it, if they want to quit, they struggle and it is a long process
@cockywatchman1976 I agree with all of this particular comment. Methadone is a bitch to get off of and nothing compared to H in that way. And yes, your brain balances out eventually, but some people find themselves so f'd initially that they decide they need meds for life... that's no life really, is it? I too never had poor nutrition but was sick on the gov's free opioid drugs.. they're no good, esp. for the teeth! lol
@cobracookscoca Just for sake of argument lets say your "permanent brain damage" myth is true (which it absolutely isn't)....why make the drug impure, concentration unknown, make it expensive, criminal, put em in jail etc etc. Is this helping the situation???? Some miguided people believe legalising encourages-this is bull. Illegalising doesnt stop it either
@cobracookscoca contd problem 100 fold worse. People will always use, ALWAYS. Why make it so much more harmful than it has to be. I mean heroin deaths would be minimal if it was legalised and controlled. Jees, its everywhere, I could buy it in 10 minutes! The current farcical system is hardly working is it.....time for a different approach.
@cobracookscoca contd prescribed, considering its easier to detox off, 99% of scripted addicts (in my experience) still use on top. Give them what they are going to do anyway and manage the harm-methadone/sub just sustain a harmful addiction. The results in Scandinavia and other countries show diamoprhine scripting works very well. Me personally Id legalise the whole lot, control, tax and educate. Why do people want to use drugs (and they will) prohibition as proven with alcohol makes the prob
@cobracookscoca Permanent loss of pleasure is total garbage. I have detoxed off heroin, methadone and bupeprenorphine-natural endorphin production returns in time. Poor nutrition etc-not me since i had money. Your average user is criminalised due to prohibition-hence the problem is exacerbated. Methadone is a full opiod agonist, it just has a much longer half life meaning detox is longer, bupe is a partial agonist/antagonist, again a bitch to withdraw from. Its madness that heroin isnt
@cockywatchman1976 How can permanent loss of pleasure from certain activities/ messed up brain chemistry be down to it being illegal though?? And poor nutrition, etc? I never once said people with a habit do not get their shit- they'll do anything for it. Methadone is even worse than heroin in mine & many opinions But is different to heroin (obvsly). Tabloid views? Lol. Lack of knowledge & experience? What makes you think I haven't been there? You failed on judging me correctly.100%.
@cobracookscoca A very poorly informed view point in almost every way. What exactly are health problems? i think ul find it all comes from it being illegal. You think people who want heroin dont get it anyway? They get free methadone and subutex anyway. Very silly tabloid views you have, clearly lacking knowledge and experience. Maybe do some research my friend
