Delicious news!
We really believe that Fort Worden State Park Conference Center's hosting, Monday June 1, 2009, of 50 culinary students and faculty from the prestigious Culinary Institute of Americas (CIA) Hyde Park, NY campus was a delicious example of how sustainable synergy can be cooked up when passionate producers such as Peter (Geoduck) and Rick (Wild Alaska Salmon) join talented chefs of the likes of Jay and Hope, and - in total - they combine to educate and nourish appreciative diners.
We can all envision this type of Culinary Loop "product" being repeated and well appreciated!
Add today's extra good news that the recently released June issue (NW regional edition) of Sunset Magazine and in the summer issue of Cooking Light magazine.
Sunset says that Port Townsend is poised to become the Northwests next culinary destination, and dubbed the city Paris on the Olympic Peninsula saying that Port Townsend is going gourmet.
Christina Pivarnik, Port Townsend Marketing Director and a member of the Olympic Culinary Loop Board, (serving along with Fort Worden's Steve and Bon Appétit's Jay), reports that Sunset has had such excellent response from people about the article that theyre putting it into their California edition in August!
A big step in the right direction for the entire Olympic Peninsula!
