Paint Stripper Removing Car Paint

most of it scrapes off, you still need to sand a fair amount off.

Is this Mar-hyde Tal-Strip 2 Aircraft Coating remover that you are using? If so, do you know whether or not this stuff is biodegradable? Thanks.

My car has good paint, some ding here and there, and some scratches. Id like to paint it a different color. do i need to use stripper? or can i use 1200 grit for the whole car and then use the new base color? help pls
