$300 tuner and a $350 exhaust so not a whole lot of money. At the time this was on the same tune I towed the race car to the track with.

Its one of three diesel trucks I use for work so it pays for itself, so I guess you could say that. I certainly didnt buy it to go racing, I have a couple of decently fast cars for that. Although the look on someones face when they get dragged by a 7700lb truck is priceless.

what else is done to the ford? a 6.0 won't do a mid 13 with just a tune

I don't know why people find this so hard to believe. These trucks produce an absurd amount of power. With 500+ lb-Ft and 350+ HP, it's all about getting the right launch.

All you gotta do is find the right RPM and they take off like a rocket.

@jorjohns2012 Cheap $3500 mustangs can be fast too. they may not look pretty but im sure you can fine one that is fast as hell. Diesels hold there value pretty darn well. good luck finding a diesel just as cheap that will be just as fast. the 03 cobra your talking about will dust A LOT of cars out there (even without dumping 3g's into it) so dont feel bad but goes to show he paid right around the same price you did for yours and your the one that got your ass handed to you.

@mustanghappy123 I paid 12,500 for my 2006 powerstroke. I have tunes and exhaust, will eat up a few of the mustangs in this town that were more than what I have in my truck. But my buddy has a 2003 cobra that he paid 15,700 for and has dropped about 3k in it and will wax my truck with no problem. So a mustang can cost just as much as a diesel truck, just depends on how fast you want to go. Sure, if you want to get out ran by an 8000 pound truck, get a cheap as gt mustang that you paid 3500 for.
