Its actually not easier, the waiting list, meaning going through proper channels takes a long time, sometimes 2-3 yrs if you want a newborn.

Not to sound mean or hateful although children across the world need good homes as well as children here it is by far cheaper and has less regulations to adopt a child from another country than it would be to adopt one here in the USA so maybe thats why they adopted there instead of here who knows and who cares a child is loved here thats all that matters!!

Awe, I have an adopted child also. Isn't it the best feeling in the world when you know that God has put you together? She is precious. I'm so happy for all of you.

@VigisKane As someone who has taken 5 boys from "down the street" and the most recent one who came without even any underwear, there is some truth to what you are saying. However, some people like me are called to help American children. Others are called to help foreign children. Both are legitimate needs and both are good.

@VigisKane So the lives of babies in their "own country" are more valuable? Your ignorance is astounding. Instead of questioning why someone decided to do good in this world, why don't you worry about the good you're doing and stop spreading hate.
