Geez, I'm so sick of all fights between fans, I went from Roth vs Sammy to this....
But ritchie was booring in this one, sure, the solo was great, but wtf, a rockstar shouldnt stand still! Jump! Run! Smash some equipment! Do something!
i agree in part with a little of each comment... Most of ppl may consider that Morse is way better than Ritchie, tecnically speaking...I,for myself, have to take that in count, as i'm a guitar player too... but keep that in mind,Ritchie totally reinvented the guitar with his amazing strato, besides, he is awesome tecniclly speaking since a long time b4 virtuoses guitar players like Satriani and even Morse showing up...so, personally, Blackmore is a god, Morse is awesome, but Ritchie is better...
that's wrong. If there are 2 members from the MK2 still in the band, the band can be called Deep Purple. Roger, Ian and Ian are from the MK2 days. Blackmore couldn't have stopped them from calling themselves Deep Purple.
Richie is an icon. When Steve joined the band, they got a new sound, i think. Mayby people think that Richie is better, just because they liked Deep Purple back in the days more than they do now. But Steve is just better, it really is a fact.
and, even if you can't agree with this. Even if you liked Deep Purple back in the days more, but you should be glad they are still touting, and making music. Cause the kind of music we get at the moment, really isn't that great.
aree with you that DP is amazing bend but Steve isnt bether than Ritchie ..Ritchie made all solos you know from DP but Steve is a great guitar player and he can manage with Purple thats enough said ...ROCK ONNMY FRIEND xD
You really dont listen at all do you. I consistently say Blackers is the greater, yet still you go on and on.
Morse was voted 'Best Overall Guitarist' 5 years running by Guitar Player Magazine. he would probably have won it more, but they banned him from winning it again.
Having played guitar since before you were born, I feel comfortable in suggesting that Morse is the more technical player. A statement that 99.9% of all music fans would agree with.
I have no axe to grind. Ritchie is my fave player and he is the greater, but I'm not dumb or fanboy-blinded enough to compare him on a technical level with Morse.
To anybody who plays guitar and has heard a cross section of their material will say Morse is just about the complete player and certainly the best alternate picker around.
