The original meaning is unknown to me, but going off of the video, the meaning they used for the "warm gun" was the ecstasy that was given to him by the morphine they used to kill pain, the "happieness" is the high that came from it, in other words, "i feel no pain and i love morphine"

He's on morphine- incredibly addictive, a dissociative pain killer that is still used, but much more carefully. Addiction to it was common in veterans from Vietnam who were injured because it was the primary painkiller used.
Heroin was invented to break the cycle of morphine addiction. That didn't work out so hot.
