North Korea recently took the unusual step of showing South Korean television on its official airwaves. However, Pyongyang selected and edited the footage very carefully to support its propaganda myth that South Korea is a place of misery.North Koreans increasingly have access to unofficial news sources that tell a very different story.

At least capitalist countries such as US, SK, Japan, Europe broadcast news using reliable source where citizens are allowed to research. On the other hand, NK does not allow their citizens to research in details and expect their citizens to believe what they're told. In America, we have freedom of speech. I can literally say "fuck george bush" and I will not get executed whereas if I was in NK and said "kim jong il is fucking gay", I'll get my neck chopped off. Sucks to be in your shit country.

I would also like to point out that while North Koreans are filled with propaganda from their government on a daily basis, that does not change the fact that the majority of them are innocent people. Most of whom do or say what they do for the sole purpose of survival or simply because they know no other way of life. So in effect you are suggesting that we kill hundreds of innocent people simply because it would be the easiest route to take.

@BalkanibalX Well, keep in mind, every country has propaganda. Minor propaganda is healthy for a country. They're just talking about what happens when it gets out of hand, and when the propaganda is behind a personality cult, as opposed to simple national dignity. The thing that they are underlining in this news story is that a long time ago, people in North Korea were unable to seek the truth about other nations, whereas now, there are illegal alternatives to believing every lie they're told.
