More than 7,500 elk make the winter range of National Elk Refuge their home from October until May. Adjacent to the north side of Jackson, WY, the 25,000-acre refuge includes nearly 1600 acres of open water and marsh lands, 47 different mammals, and nearly 175 species of birds.

DO you guys camps there a day before it opens or do you guys just come in the morning. ALso r u guys with horses or not. it open up at 12 o'clock in the morning right?

No horses this time,and we did spend the night and were #75 in line.There was maybe close to 250 rigs.Opens 8am,5/1

Hey thats a cool video and didn't know that, that many people travel up to jackson hole to find and look for those sheds. My question is where did you buy the pack to put the sheds on because just the other day I found a 7x7 pair of elk sheds right next to each other. Trust me it wasn't fun getting it out of there either haha so could you let me know where you bought that pack? Thanks again.

Damn! Your videos are giving me the shed hunting bug! I screwed up big time today. I told this guy that a bull we have been watching has dropped and now I can't get it off my mind that he will probably beat me up there. oh well. Maybe he won't. I'll have to head out right after school. Cool videos. I subscribed.

Thats a lot of people who shed hunt! I'm glad its not like that here in Ca. we dont have a closed season for shed hunting. Its first come first serve! I want to go out today to see if the big boys have shed yet. They shed early here. so its not like the rest of the country. I dont have hardly any competition for sheds. I always have the mt to myself! : ) Lets see another vid for 2010 but with more sheds...; )

Amazing man that's one heck of a shed hunting trip, heard that some people find up to 30 elk shed's down there! But that's just cheap talk, you did really good, What a 6pt bull shed!
