Our canine superstar Benji, Oprah's favorite onscreen animal, will have nothing to do with our other horses. Along comes our unhandled pregnant mustang adopted from the BLM Dec 10, 2008. Malachi was born on March 3, 2009 and from the first day Benji was taken with him. Maybe because Benji was adopted from a shelter as well and has spent much of her life promoting adoption, helping dogs and cats find good homes. Malachi is with us, despite the euthanasia edict issued by the federal Government Office of Accountability, to bring the same message of adoption for horses. And to help change the way our wild mustangs are being treated. Apparently he and Benji understand that they are kindred spirits. We hope you enjoy their first 8 days together.

  • Benji is also a mutt, adopted from an animal shelter as was the original Benji. For more info, check out our blog at "the soul of a horse" dot com :)

  • What a precious baby!!!

  • iam in love =D that foal is soo cute! >.<

  • @JUKIO01 when they're that young the most you can do is put a bridle on them so they can get used to having that on them. some people start horses off riding at 3 and sometimes even two but by then they will have gotten pretty big. they grow pretty fast and by age six they're usually done growing. maybe a toddler can ride a foal this small just maybe. XD

  • @elinheartstristin i dont know, dont they train them when their young

  • @JUKIO01 is that a serious question? he is obviously too small to be ridden. you would squash him to death.

  • very nice video and also very interesting. but I prefer it without audio.

  • Too cute!

  • @JUKIO01 HOrses should not be backed in reality until they are least 4 years old. americans like to do it around 2 though. this foal cold not be ridden.

  • can u ride the horse? or is the horse to small still?
