@icecue7 I 100% agree it isn't worth 4x the price when the swiss made movement only costs like $50 more. I'm also wearing a Miyota movement watch at the moment and I honestly can't remember the last time my watch with the swiss ETA movement came out of the winder.
@dyoel182 Check what Swiss Made means again. The movement has to be Swiss, cased up and inspected in Switzerland, so basically assembled. "Swiss Movement" would mean only the movement is swiss. Also, I wasn't saying anything bad about Miyota, they're great robust movements that many microbrands use (in fact wearing a watch with one now). I was just saying that the 3044 model isn't worth 4x the price as 8926.
@icecue7 Not exactly true. If a watch says Swiss Made on the face the movement inside was made in Switzerland. It's not a huge difference in my opinion but the Miyota movement has 21 jewels and beats slightly slower than the Swiss movement that goes into more expensive watches and has 25 jewels. Invicta uses both but I've been just as happy with the less expensive Miyota movement after several years.
@CharlieDoan Save what money? 8926 is almost the 1/4 the price, it's not ridiculously large, and it's a homage to the classic Submariner. Also, take "Swiss made" with a grain of salt. Invicta often lies about these things, or stamps Swiss made without complying to standards.
