SUICIDE SILENCE Mitch Lucker, Mark Heylmun Interview

Mitch Lucker (vocals) and Mark Heylmun (guitar) of SUICIDE SILENCE sat down with BareBonesMusic.com. The guys talk about their record "No Time To Bleed", working with renowned producer Machine and how he expanded their songwriting skills, the dislike of being labeled in the "deathcore" "meatlcore" genre or labeling their music as anything other than heavy metal. They discuss the growth between, their self-titled EP, "The Cleansing" and "No Time To Bleed." Mitch discusses his process of writing lyrics, not focusing solely of negative issues, some of the unusual subjects that he thinks about and how his daughter has changed his life. Mark talks about how bands like LAMB OF GOD, SLIPKNOT, MUDVAYNE, and BLACK LABEL SOCIETY helped pave the way for young bands like SUICIDE SILENCE and the guys also talk about the influx of young kids as fans of heavy music keeping the metal scene fresh and growing.
