I was a senior in high school. Even I had enough common sense to see through Bush and co's bullshit. I also understood the government structure and the culture in Iraq well enough to know that was a war that couldn't be won. I have since learned that it was never meant to be won. Those people didn't care about the success of an Iraqi democracy. They wanted the profits that war gives to so many industries.

I'm all for this idea, Felix, sounds good to me. Oh wait we're a civilized country where just a few don't get to call the shots but need a majority vote to get things passed but wait Bush/Cheney & Co. did just that! Now I'm confused what country is this again? Ah hell pretty soon President Obama will bring us back to a democracy and things will again makes sense, whew.

I attended a lecture by Scott Ritter in the fall of 2002. There, he said that the decision to go to war had already been made. He said we would invade Iraq, we would never find any WMD's because they don't exist and that the mother of all insurgencies would begin with the Shia killing the Sunnis and the Kurds as well.

EVERYTHING he said would happen, happened EXACTLY the way he said it would.
