Meanwhile the whole Republican stance of "talking with terrorists" is a sham. Pres. Bush successfully negotiated with/intimidated Libya, and now we work closely this this recently ex-terrorist state.
In fact google "Libyan Peacekeepers Philippines" and see that the Philippine Govt (likely with U.S. State Dept approval) has allowed a LIBYAN PEACEKEEPING force to take over from Malaysian Peacekeepers in Mindanao, the Muslim part of the Philippines.
