Cuban Numbers Stations taken from The Conet Project cd 4, track 15: Spanish Lady/2 Finals.

Numbers stations are shortwave radio stations of uncertain origin. They generally broadcast voices reading streams of numbers, words, letters (sometimes using a spelling alphabet), tunes or Morse code.

  • i thought it says FINALE! this recording has more sounds/interference added to it. check my 30 sec clip of the cuban numbers station V02a

  • @Wyndrax Not for me, I think that this is communicating to spies, and when I think spies, I think of TF2. lol

  • the are just spy codes, no way this can be creepy c'mon guys...

  • Atención of Cuba became the world's first numbers station to be officially and publicly accused of transmitting to spies. It was the centerpiece of a United States federal court espionage trial following the arrest of the Wasp Network of Cuban spies in 1998. The U.S. prosecutors claimed the accused were writing down number codes received from Atención, using Sony hand-held shortwave receivers, and typing the numbers into laptop computers to decode spying instructions, to which the FBI testified.

  • @DanielChristy19 Haha I already listened to Swedish Rhapsody. It's horrible.

  • Number stations are not scary it's the silence after listening to one.

  • These are coded messages to Cuban spies here in the USA. They listen via

shortwave with "one pad" decoding system. The "one pad" means that

the code for understanding each message is obsolete at the end of the message

and so there is no unified code system "to break". Also since it is impossible to know who is listening to these messages the spies here in the USA are

    anonymous.

  • @Capidiego1

    'finido', spanish word for 'finished'

  • What says when the video finish??? is "finado"???
