A Tribute to Mark Dailey of CityTV

Mark Dailey passed away on Monday December 6th of kidney cancer which spread to his lungs. He was only 57 years old. We will all remember Mark as "The Voice" of CityTV. The commanding yet warming voice that we all will remember and won't soon forget. The man was a good man, a class act with a loving family and many friends. He was remembered and honoured by police for his time spent as the street reporter for City and as a police officer in Youngstown, Ohio. He also worked right here in Windsor, Ontario as part of CKLW Radio 800.

Thanks for posting this. I'm 26 years old so so I grew up with him my whole life being born and raised in Toronto. The way you spoke about him is exactly the way I felt like I can't even narrow it down anymore like the way you said it.

I went to his public viewing yesterday as we were one of the first people there. It was so hard being close to his casket knowing like you refereed to him as a family member just like how I felt. I had the privilege to talk to his wife for a few minutes and

I figured something was up when Retrontario put up a huge chunk of videos in the afternoon. Of course, I've started hearing his voice when I first got MuchMusic back in 1989, and of course, he did announcements for all of the Citytv stations, including the one here in Winnipeg.
