Boo! I disagree. District 9 started out with potential but quickly did a 180 and decided it would rather be another generic scifi than anything new. Guy turns into an alien and realizes we're all not so different after all. Is that original? Just throw in some action then. I was expecting some kind of real suspense or social commentary, and I got a throwaway summer flick.

D9 was a beast of a movie & from what I hear Gears of War movie is suppose to follow the same sorta direction hopefully it will be a beast of a movie because I love the Games even tho online sucked for Gears 2 but also we need a video game movie to be proud of for a change.
