South Texas 6 point Buck Kill

This 6 pointer was shot in Annarose, TX on Friday December 12, 2008 with a Remington .243. All the meat was processed and will be eaten. So plz don't hate, lol.

The comment about "my heart was pumpin" is a bit of an inside joke.

i dont mean to sound rude, but i lived in texas for a while, outside austin, and it seemed every time someone wanted to show me a "big deer" i was generally not impressed. fishing down there is amazing, but the deer are just so tiny, look like dogs with antlers. maybe its cuz i ive in pike county illinois...but i just cant get excited about the size of white tail in texas.

It was a good shot just didnt drop it. Some deer are very tough. Well most all deer are tough animals. It didnt run like most deer do when they get shot. Dont listen to the other people

Im a hunter and i also kill for food,there are times when we try for our best shot and it doesnt work that way,Id have taken a second shot personally,those who are trashing for killing the deer "get a life' the man intend to eat the meat which is what hunters do,if he intended to kill it and leave it lay Id be right there with you but hats not the case.

Shoulda popped him again man. I hunt deer with my 7mm mag 1 shot 1 quick kill. That poor guy suffered for a bit. .243 is a good round and it is also cheap so don't be afraid to use more then 1 if u don't hit the heart on the first shot.
