To me they are optical illusions, like the famous picture that is neither (and both) a vase and two faces. They are illusions.

I can find faces in the bark of a tree. Rationally I know that not to be true.

so when I am asked what do i see, this question has many literal interpretations.

I always feel that to answer the question any other way then what I see first, an ink blot, is to pigeon hole me into a view.

Yes I can see bunny's in clouds. I also know they are clouds first and foremost!

I think in general people are aware that in reality it's a inkblot or cloud or whatever first ad then after that something jumps out first.

But yea I understand that, not wanting to limit the possibilities of what it can be. Once you put a label on it it is that one thing and before it can be everything.Kind of a schrodinger's cat typesthing. Before opening the box it can be anything.

Is it less that you are unable to see things in the blots and more about wanting to keep all options open?

Coincidently, this is also why I never bothered with colouring books as a child.

It seemed like a useless activity.

My imagination can make the duck blue, grey, purple, orange etc etc. Ducks are usually yellow or whatever colour there feathers are.

So if it wasn't a realistic duck photo, and just an outline. why would I limit this outline to one colour combo, when my brain can always fill in new colours as I please.

Why destroy potential for sake of having one actual. What's more valuable?

I can think of a reason. Self expression. I can imagine all sorts of lines on a piece of paper, but until I draw then with something other than my mind, no one else can share my perspective.
