Soundbeam Performance

This is a video of me performing my original composition "Conquest" I have a genetic disability called SMA(Spinal Muscular Atrophy) and I use a technology called the soundbeam. All of the orchestral music I composed using a Mac computer.

Nice work Ari! This is a facinating technology. I can see that the soundbeam is the controller you are using for the lead voice and I have some questions about that later. I am curious about the software you use for the sequencing. Do you use standard musical notation or the MIDI sequencing with the bars and moving line etc. What resources do you use when studying the theory side of music? Or, is it all ear?

I use either Garage Band or Logic for the background music. Most of it is ear. I also started learning theory recently, with a tutor.

I write the background music with the computer and then use my wheelchair with the Soundbeam for the lead
