Marine life artist Wyland painted his last Whaling Wall in the United States, #95, in Key Largo, Florida in February 2007. The mural showcases the living coral reef that parallels the Florida Keys depicting life-size manatees, manta rays, coral reefs, and other marine life. Located at Mile Marker 99.2 on Overseas Highway, this monumental mural marks the gateway to the Keys. ''It is a gift to the Florida Keys and all the people who live and visit here,'' said Wyland.
The show of the support from the community was astounding as school kids, visitors to the Keys, local businesses, and nearby neighbors came out each day to view the painting, volunteer their time, and lend support in any way possible. The mural was dedicated on February 12, 2007 by Olympic swimmer Gary Hall, and musicians Steve Turre and Arlo Guthrie.

Because I loved seeing the mermaid it had been there for years, and i don't exactly like Wieland. He's kind of a jackass when you talk to him.
And why are you replying to something i said 8 months ago :/
