Wally Cox, singing his trademark song "There's a Tavern in the Town", is given the Cluch Cargo animation treatment. A personal hero of mine, Wally was a very understated comedic genius, who died nearly 40 years ago at an early age.
Back to my childhood! I loved hearing that on WFMT (Chicago) Midnight Special Shows, and have vague memories of "Mr Peepers" (I was only 4 or 5). Yes, he died far too young, and it's a shame so many people only remember him from that game show, "Hollywood Squares". He was FAR better than THAT!! There's a pretty good video of him on What's My Line on Youtube - it'll make you smile.........
This is fantastic!
