Where did you buy?

@yuandrew Ok. Self-Ballasted Mercury Vapor Lamp? It's rated 6,000 hours, lasts 5 years before replacement.

I don't think this is possible, but... it could be both. I see light coming from below what seems to be a filament.

I dislike SB mercury lamps, because they only have the life of the fillimant, and have no warm up time, which i like as its easier on the eyes.
However they are still alot better than most other types of lamps. Kool video!

Not too energy efficient (the lumen per watt is actually no better than an incandescent bulb) but still a whole lot of fun to have and operate.
I actually left this bulb with my friend (RainJetSprinkler's) a few months back and it's being used along with some F32T8 fluorescent lights to light up his shop/garage.
Self-Ballasted Mercury Vapor Lamp? It's dimmable.

@evangoe
I did try dimming it with an old Lutron Rotary dimmer, it didn't dim very well and the arc went out at about 75%.

That's not an MV lamp. I see the filament. It looks like a self ballasted MV, but it's not.

It is a self ballasted Mercury Vapor.
Hard to see the actual arc tube in this video but I'll try to get you a picture I took with the exposure adjusted.
