The Best just got Bigger! Video of an on-farm demo with our M-3600 triple (3) screw trailer mixer which is our largest mixer ever. The M-3600 vertical tmr mixer has mixing capacities of 1400 to 1580 cubic feet (or 39.6 to 44.7 cubic meters) and can handle all feedstuffs, including large round and square bales, wet or dry. Shaker box tests have shown the Model 3600 provides the same thorough and consistent Total Mixed Ration that Patz Vertical Mixers are known for around the world.

This is an actual farm demo which includes ingredients of Hay, straw, protein pre-mix, ground corn, brewer's grain, haylage, corn silage and water. The total ration weight in this video is 31,990 Lbs.

  • how many cows does this farm milk

  • @rakerman102 This farm milks approximately 2,400 cows

  • I've been working on a farm in Japan for the past 3 years now, and it's my 1st time working on one. Can someone tell me what TMR stands for?

  • @Simonthestud Thank you for your question. "TMR" stands for Total Mixed Ration.

  • why wasnt it mixing before you started putting feed in?

  • @ccc7121 There is no need to start mixing too soon because the Patz mixes fast. This farmer would be OVER processing his feed if he started mixing right away while loading. Every farmer has a slightly different way of doing things. He has a large enough tractor that he can start the loaded mixer rather than mix as he loads. He is saving diesel this way and the fast mix and fast delivery of feed with a Patz mixer allows the farmer to better control his time & energy costs. Great Question. Thanks!

  • Actually it's not the biggest, in Scotland there is a 50 cube feeder by the make of k an k I think

  • It one hell of a machine, we have a 1500 cow herd but we choose a self propelled self loading machine as our silage clamps are not all on the farm and that even tho we are a modern unit we would struggle to get something that size into our sheds.... i will try to get a few more vids on of what we do but check my channel if you are interested

  • All that said, ant mixer on market now will be a much better machine. Ours was 15hp electric stationary; still moved feed with loader. It fed dairy herd for 13 years, then steers for 7 and still is in good working shape. Except Jstar scale which quit a few years back.

  • If you give TMR 3 months trial with a dairy herd, you will be amazed. There is no overnight advantages..... it takes time, but it will surprise you in the difference it makes. Best move is to work with a nutritionist as you convert to the TMR. I remember going from mixing feed on concrete floor with skid loader and then going to the Knight 3350 back in the early 90's. May be different brand and style, but the milk quality and level in bulk tank told the story the best. In SCWI
