why does their handbrakes look so different? like a stick that faces up instead of down like er this subaru is 90 degrees up and normal cars are about 20 degrees

It's hydraulic ebrake, so lever can be moved everywhere. It's near the steering wheel, to be easy to access.

My mate tried handbrake turning in his 1.4 corsa and he was driving at only 30mph as soon as he lifted up the lever he didn't hold in the button to release it and we clipped a curb and rolled over in an asda car park... was the funniest thing to happen in my life haha

@Arctic222Avenger Not necessarily.... I have no idea how old you are, but a LOT of the top rally drivers don't start any form of racing (other than fooling around in street cars) until their 20s.

@ProjectNinjaSlime The handbrake on a normal car is only on the rear wheels, just like the rally cars.
