i know what you mean~ I read the story also in the ninth grade~ It is my favourite Dickens book ~ Sydney Carton was and still is truly my favourite character!

Yes, and I believe that Peter Samuels performed this (according to the credits) and has a remarkable voice! I love the lipsyncing done by the actor who plays Oliver. A wonderful movie!

I remember I loved this movie as a kid, and this song always stuck in my head...watching this about 7 years on...it kind of haunts me....it's beautiful :')

I just finished reading A Tale of Two Cities for an English class and I loved it. This video clip kind of makes me wish that the musical version of the book was an actual musical, especially with the songs from this. I would pay a ton of money to go see it.

I believe it was only made for the movie. It'd be wonderful though if they actual made it into a real song.

From what I have seen, it is not yet available for downloading or anything like that. The best one can do (as I did) is record it digitally through the use of a video. And there IS a program I've seen where one can change the .avi format to that of an .mp3 one, but it costs some money. The free version only allows up to 30 seconds of a music file.
Sorry for all that. But that is what I know so far. And I'm not sure of the title of the program that changes the formats. Sorry! :)
