Pouring Absinthe Czech Style

Paul Nathan shows us how to pour a traditional Czech style absinthe.

Most absinthe enthusiasts frown on setting fire your absinthe. It's not for us to say whether you should set fire to your drinks or not. We will say that a number of absinthes are formulated with the fire ritual in mind. Tabu Classic Strong for instance. This absinthe is made in Germany using traditional methods, herbs, and distillation processes. I have toured the distillery and met the owners, they assure me that Tabu Classic Strong is intended to be presented using the fire ritual.

Whether it is traditional or not it certainly adds an excitement to the presentation, and isn't that half the fun?

Czech absenthe is my fave. My cousin smuggled back two bottles in the u.s. Dec. 2001. Don't know how he go past customs. It was 70%  and had a female on it. Terrible description I know. But if y'all have any idea what brand it could be shoot em off. Thanx
