@mrclarinetbuddy I have heard that thinking before, I would agree with you if it were powered by a paddle, I have heard one person declare foils take flight at 10kmh, depending on the size of the foil, and great point below about having the foils angles to deflect sea weed...and the longer paddles would also be an overdrive, maybe you could have them get longer the faster you go?

@adsabine1 No You have too be sprinting full on for the hydrofoil for the hydrofoil to lift the boat out of the water. At long distances your speed is not enough to lift it
-
Impressive, could you do long distances on this?

Cool!

I second this, that would be awesome.. assuming it works with a hull that long, I dont know the physics of it..

Paddler ability plays a huge role in that race, and it seemed that the person in the hydrofoil had a faster paddling stroke/cadence.

this would be cool but.... like.. . it kinda ruins the classic look and feel of it. .. and i mean taking every thing out and just sitting on a board.... stupid. i want one tho

Seaweed, autumn leaf's. Make the foils swept.
This is a great way to go faster with less effort. He will need longer oars to gear up in speed.
