"Nick..I..."

he cut me off, his voice sounded shakey and he wasn't trying to hide anything from me.

*I read the letter, its time for me to talk..and for you to listen.*

I braced myself for what was coming next...all i wanted to do at this point was run away. But i knew nick wouldn't have it. His hands firmly grasped my arms to my side. I wasn't going anywhere. I avoided eye contact with him, afraid that if i look at him, i'll end up breaking down, and there wont be any turning back.


Nicks POV

Her eyes looked distant, but i was determined to tell her.

Nick:
Ive been a jerk Kyle..I real big jerk. I shouldnt have shut you out of my life, but trust me it was much harder than it looked. Kylie i cant...I cant cope with the fact that there may be no more *us* . Look i was stupid Kylie. And i regret every single second that i ever thought i could live without you. Its obvious that i cant, and you cant live without me either. You know it. Theres got to be something else your running from Kylie. But i wont let you. Look im not going to deny that i was in the wrong here. But i think you were too. Starting over, forgetting everything? How could you possibly expect me to just go along with everything as if i didnt hurt, when YOU left me first Kyle? You decided that we couldnt make things work, and then YOU came back and decided that we would just be friends. Do you know how hard it was for me?? I hate to say it but it was like easy come easy go...We fell in love so fast...and then it was gone. Like it was too good to be true. Was it too good to be true? Was i just not good enough for you??? Look Kyle im sorry, for how things have been lately. If i could, i would go back and change it all. But this time, im not letting you leave. Im begging you Kylie..dont leave.

I looked in her eyes. She was trying so hard to stay strong, but i knew my words cut her deep. I couldn't stand seeing her so hurt..

I wrapped my arms around her and held her close. She stood there limp, weak, too hurt to respond. She took some uneven breaths trying to suppress her crying. She shrugged loose of my grasp and stepped back.

Kylie:


I....Im so sorry. I shouldnt have left you and it was all my fault. If i couldve gone back in time to that day in the airport, maybe i would have waited for someone else to wake you up. Maybe us ever meeting was a bad idea. But never, in a million years, would i ever leave you because you werent good enough. I hate that you think that. IM not good enough Nick. The only thing i want to do more than anything is stay with you. But i have problems of my own, that even you cant help me with. Problems that ive put off cause of this whole career that i wasnt even sure i wanted. There are some things that i cant handle, and i cant change no matter how hard i try. I HAVE to do this Nick. Im not asking you to wait for me this time. Im not expecting anything from you. Just forget about everything.




I stood there looking at Kylie in disbelief. After everything thats happened to us, shes still willing to leave it all behind. This moment has happened to us before. Even if her words changed...shes still leaving me. A pair of lights blinded me and came to a halt right beside us.

Nick: You're really going to do this..?

Her lips trembled and she looked off in to the distance.

Kylie: I dont have a choice Nick!!

I pulled her closer

Nick: No..NO you do have a choice! You can stay with me! I can help you Kylie, you dont have to be alone!

Kylie: Im not going to be alone Nick...I'm just not going to be with you..
