@MemphisMechanic I started out with a Lee Press and everything I needed for about $150 including dies. I still like the Lee dies the best for all you get for a fair price. A single stage press will always come in handy, so its not a waste of money. Some people might spend $1000 on gear just to find out that they hate reloading or they don't have time for it. I happen to really like reloading, but I still recommend that people learn the basics first, then go faster later.

@MemphisMechanic Most reloaders recommend learning on a single stage press and also a single stage press is nice to have around, so its not a waste of money if you buy a smaller press first, to see if you like reloading or not. Spending $1000 to find out you hate reloading (which some do) isn't the best idea. thanks for the video.

I shoot IDPA about 2-4 times a month. I've been thinking of getting into reloadling and I am pondering the Dillon 550B or the 650. Was the 650 your first press? I'm wondering if I'd be better off on teh 550B as a first press? Is their much of a difference in your opinion in the learning curve?

The bare press is $550 - 600 I think. I went from nothing, to all the equipemnt you see here, and spent about $1,150 on everything. Go big once if you shoot competitively and burn through at least 500rnds a month in one caliber, or you'll eventually buy twice.
