  • @ter50 OOOOOOOhhhhh owh owh... Mitch Mitchell... great ear my friend. Very hard to put Mitch on heavy metal parameters cause the "surroundings" of a hippy LSD genius guitar player and a early seventies psychedelic acoustic/rock, Hendrix style. But yeah, his patterns, feet, triplets, swager and attitude totally are proto heavy metal drumming.

  • @BLANKITOYESE Bonham was great but Cozy was, with Tommy Aldridge, the first prototype of the heavy metal drummer. If we want to talk about the roots, Mitch Mitchell of Jimi Hendrix Experience was the man who started it all, before Bohnam.
