  • Nice run, damn that Vette must trap 118 at least....crazy for such little mods

  • @yonkersracing never had it to the track after mods, but I don't think touching 120 would have been a problem. Funny thing, actually sold it, had a 335i for a while, now have my Porsche. Check out my vid of it against a full bolt on LS1 Trans Am.

  • That vettes twice as fast, is it a 10 second vette then? is that what youre saying? lol..

  • @Reggie6447 You are showing your ignorance of both car's strengths. The 335i is a torque monster and is VERY fast below 100mph. The Vette's superior aerodynamics, higher HP, and excellent flowing heads are exploiting the weaknesses of the 335. This race was a roll on, with speeds closing in on 140mph. This is the Vette's race. If we had gone from a dig the 335 would have been right with me until close to 100.

  • that 335 has never done 12.3 ... not even on the 8th lol

  • @Reggie6447 It most certainly has, in fact i watched it run multiple 12.3s the same day this video was filmed, all of the runs he trapped over 116mph.

  • @ta0sum You have no idea what you're talking about. Educate yourself before you make a stupid remark like that. Vette's are WORLD CLASS track cars and would eat that 335i alive. Also, I have owned both cars and can speak from personal experience.

  • @ReaLEthA I personally find Mercedes-Benz to be far prettier cars, especially the W212 E class. I have a BMW because I like having a manual transmission, though!

  • @ta0sum I've raced Corvettes and have a 335i. The C6 Corvette would eat the 335i in performance. Maybe the 335i can stay head to head with an base C6 through first and second gear at really high altitude. But, that's a big maybe. Anything after that, and the Corvette is just an all-around better performer.

  • @Marc99GT If you want me to be completely honest, I think BMW's look alot better than mercedes lol. They're more practical. They aren't way totally overpriced. Is Mercedes more luxurious? Yes. But by no means does that make BMW a "poor mans Mercedes".

  • @Marc99GT "minds"

  • @ReaLEthA In some mids, yes. BMW will never have the status of the 3 pointed star plain and simple.

  • @Marc99GT BMW is a poor mans mercedes? you're a fucking retard. im sorry. lmfao.

  • If they went with the "new design" the hood would have to be much higher and they don't want to do it. It works. They've perfected what they've been doing for years. You can talk old all you want, but old just kicked new's ass in this video. Try "different" next time.

  • People love to cite this "old engine design" that GM uses for the Corvette. Notice the very low hood profile of the Corvette and it's much flatter aerodynamics. GM probably stuck with the pushrod motor because it's external dimensions are generally much smaller than engines with ohc heads. The 6.2L in my Vette looks no larger than, and maybe even smaller than the 4.6 V8 that was in my Mustang.

  • @Marc99GT That is the GTE-Pro class at the 24 hours at Le Mans in a class t was only in for 2 years for 7 wins in 10 years. So much ignorance about Corvettes it is not even funny. Keep spewing nonsense and I will educate you.
