The Japanese government wants to increase tourism in Japan so they are going to invite and pay for 10,000 people to come here on vacation. There aren't many details yet but here is the original article in Japanese:

Your belief in repairs rather than an attempt at stimulating tourism for economic recovery is understandable. That is a debate for another forum and not related to your previous comments. Vehemently telling people not to come to this country is not helpful to anyone.
The situation in Japan doesn't need fear-mongering and hyperbole. Fukushima is dangerous but Fukushima is not all of Japan. Tourism (even if you disagree with the way it is generated) is good for Japan.

@strati5phere They want to encourage tourists so I am sure it is for short trips. Probably a week or two.
