@europegirlh2o it's because he knows she's a woman,that's why he's protecting her. It's sweet and painful, he knows to back off when he knew Yoonhee likes the other guy. It was sad because he didn't even try telling her he loved her. He pretended he knew nothing.

Watching this (awesome) video, which completely captures Guhro's character, I kind of why I realized she (Yoonhee) fits better with the first lead... Guhro protects her all the time, but doesn't challenge her to explore her boundaries and grow as a person. He's just kind of like, "Stay still so I can protect you." Realistically, that would make their relationship go downhill real fast.
