Heyward Bey will come around. But, to tell you the truth, with Higgins, Schillens, Heyward Bey, and Murphy and not to mention McFadden catching, and Miller, Gradkowski should thrive in such an offense.

@Jaypee1Day --You just never know---first round picks are a tough business..but in the case of DHB--They Raiders where filling a whole(deep threat)--but sure they expect him to shine--soon(now)...

@Jaypee1Day -being a high draft pick is not confirmation that you will come out & shine like a star. Some players take more time to develope, it's a gamble. have you ever heard of Brady, he won some big games at Michigan, but no one wanted to take a chance on him. Leaf-Russell and many more got the 1st rnd money and never materialized...This will always haunt the league. Look at the guy Coffee from the 9ers...got the money and was on his way--but decided to retire befor the start of his season.

@bigjbzzl it shouldnt take a round 1 pick 7 six years to have a good year in the NFL. Brandon Lloyd was a 4th round pick and was just a good talent overlooked but Haywood-Bey got the minutes and time and did nothing.

@catholicconversion ur absolutely right, the Raiders had a great year, shame they didnt make the playoffs, DHB didnt have an amazing year, but he did ok but mcfadden and miller really stepped up

@MrCeej9999 The difference is that McFadden always had the talent, it was just a question of him staying fit for the best part of a season.

Heyward-Bey has a fundamental flaw in that he has terrible hands, and it's near impossible to improve those. He's a hard worker and a good kid who has improved in most other aspects (route running and blocking in particular) since he came into the NFL, but if a guy can't catch consistently he can't be an effective NFL WR.
